The UTAS 516 M4A1 Block II brings the look and feel of the iconic SOPMOD Block II carbines used by U.S. Special Operations Forces into a New Zealand-legal straight-pull platform.

Introduced in the mid-2000s, the SOPMOD Block II program modernised the M4A1 with the addition of the distinctive RIS II quad rail, improving modularity and accessory mounting options for demanding operational environments.

The UTAS 516 M4A1 Block II captures the appearance of this legendary configuration while retaining the familiar ergonomics and handling of the AR platform in a manually-operated straight-pull rifle.
