Constructed on the same chassis as its predecessor, the revamped Flatpack maintains the smaller footprint favored by many, now incorporating features formerly only seen in the Plus variant. The design updates yield these added features to the original configuration:

• Full clamshell opening mechanism
• Inner surface fully lined with Velcro, enabling customization with additional accessories when required, allowing users to tailor the pack to their unique needs or lifestyle

Essentially, the revamped Flatpack remains a compact assault backpack that can transition from a nearly flat profile when compressed to 600 cubic inches of storage when fully expanded, thanks to an innovative gusset system.

In its compressed form, the Flatpack can accommodate a 1-liter hydration bladder in the main compartment, with additional room for small essentials like batteries, energy gels, and chem lights in the dedicated admin chamber. When expanded, the main compartment can house a fully-equipped tactical chest rig, helmet, or jacket, while the admin chamber can hold electronics and/or compact binoculars.

The Flatpack seamlessly integrates with a tactical chest rig, substituting the harness with the pack straps, to form a light recon, patrol, or an everyday carry rig for worst-case scenarios. It can also be woven into any PALS compatible nylon system, including plate carriers, assault vests, or other packs with external PALS webbing.

Though initially intended for Special Operations use, the Compact Pack also serves as a top-notch everyday backpack for civilians seeking a compact bag without an overt military aesthetic. It can safely transport electronics such as an iPad, 12-inch MacBook, or any laptop or tablet up to 8″ x 12″. The padded inner compartment can also hold a range of items, from books and magazines to digital cameras.
