UTAS 516 M4A1 Block II STRAIGHT PULL 14.5″ – 223 REM/5.56 NATO
The UTAS 516 M4A1 Block II brings the classic Special Operations Peculiar Modification (SOPMOD) Block II carbine into a New Zealand-legal straight-pull platform.
First introduced in the mid-2000s, the Block II upgrade package built on the success of the original SOPMOD program, standardizing features such as the RIS II quad rail.
The M4A1 Block II has since become one of the most recognizable service carbines of the Global War on Terror era, widely fielded across U.S. SOCOM and allied units. With the UTAS 516, that same iconic configuration is now available in a compliant straight-pull rifle.
