The ZHUKOV-U Hand Guard is designed for Kalashnikov-pattern firearms with shorter barrels and standard-length gas systems, delivering the same proven performance and ergonomics as the full-size ZHUKOV hand guard. Its internal hard-anodized aluminum chassis provides exceptional rigidity while shielding the support hand from barrel heat, creating a stable, flex-free platform for accessories. The ergonomic profile improves handling without adding unnecessary weight, and the design retains compatibility with the original factory cleaning rod stored beneath the barrel. Installation requires permanent removal of the OEM hand guard retainer plate.
